Itipini Dump Community - African Medical Mission

African Medical Mission’s Itipini Community Project started in 1992,with the aim of meeting some of the residents’ most basic healthcare needs. With the closest hospital a five-mile walk away, many residents chose not to seek medical attention for their problems, causing conditions to worsen and eventually require even more care. Today the project, run by Jenny McConnachie, is a vital force, serving community members in mind, body, and spirit. Itipini Bursaries

Bethany Home

Bethany Home is a place of safety for abandoned, abused and neglected children from new-born to 6 years of age. Children are admitted to us on referral from the police or through social workers. The children are with us while their social workers are looking to reunite them with their families, find new foster families for them or make the decision to admit the child permanently to a children's home. We offer the child a safe place to stay while the process is going on. Some children will be with us just a few hours or days or months.
