Florence Diehl Bequest

On behalf of Bishop Bennett, Principal McClatchie and the Corporation of Huron University College, the Dean of the Faculty of Theology invites applications for a grant of financial assistance of up to $5,000 from the Florence Diehl Bequest.

Eligibility is restricted to recent graduates (2002 and later) of the M.Div. degree program from the Faculty of Theology at Huron University College who are engaged in ordained ministry, or awaiting ordination and placement by the Diocese, with outstanding educational debt, either formal or informal. Payment is calculated at approximately 20% of the debt owed, with a maximum of $5,000. Repeat recipients of the grant will be calculated on the basis of the original amount of debt reported, minus the original grant and planned monthly interest payments.

The Bishop, the Principal, and the Dean have discretion regarding which applications are successful, and this determination may be based on the validity of the application and the veracity of the documentation provided
by the applicants.

Applications are to take the form of a letter, with documentation, submitted to:

Rev'd Canon Dr. William J. Danaher, Jr.
Dean, Faculty of Theology
Huron University College
1349 Western Rd., London, ON, N6G 1H3.

Deadline for consideration is Friday, November 12, 2012.
