You arrive Friday evening, just in time to unpack and head to the campfire circle where we sing songs and make s’mores.  Saturday is a sun-filled, fun-filled day with your family - playing games, swimming, doing crafts, canoeing, worshiping and more, finished up by another gathering around a roaring fire.  Sunday morning there is time for fun and a vibrant worship service.

This is your Diocesan Family Camp.  And while we may not be able to promise the sun, we can promise a fun-filled weekend with family and with friends old and new.

We meet from Friday night to Sunday lunch on the second weekend of August each summer at Camp Edgewood, a Lutheran camp.  This wonderful place offers a cabin for each family, a swimming pool, outdoor chapel, lots of room for kids to run, a canoe pond, trails and more.  There is plenty of room for you to join us!

During the weekend, there are times when we are all together, times when we divide up by age group and times when we divide up into our own families. We learn together, worship together and play together.

Over the years, the families that have come to Family Camp have come in all shapes and sizes—two parents, no kids; single parent led; grandparents and grandchildren; uncles and aunts with their nieces and nephews; foster parents with their foster children; singles;  the list goes on and on.  All are welcome at Family Camp!

Our wish for you is to become closer as a family, to become closer to God and to make some wonderful friends.  If this sounds like a good way to spend a weekend, get in touch with us - we’d love to meet you!
