Director of Music @ Bishop Cronyn Memorial Church, London

Bishop Cronyn Memorial Church, London, Ontario is seeking a Director of Music to join the ministry team.  Duties will include one sung Sunday liturgy, preparing and directing the gallery choir, major holy days, a monthly choral evensong, weddings and funerals.  Music at worship in the parish ranges from classic and traditional through contemporary praise, with other musicians assisting in some of the services. The successful candidate would ideally be comfortable with a wide range of musical styles.  The choir rehearses from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

Bishop Cronyn Memorial Church has long been a community that values a rich worship life within the Anglican tradition, while being open to liturgical and musical innovation.  The church’s instruments include a three-manual, 40 stop 1920s Casavant , a Gabriel Kney  tracker organ and a Yamaha C2 grand piano.

The starting date is September 1, 2012.  Remuneration ranges from  $16,000 to $19,500 depending on qualifications.

Director of Pastoral Services @ Bishop Cronyn Memorial Church - London

A Director of Pastoral Services – part time is required by Bishop Cronyn Memorial Anglican Church, (www.cronyn.ca)  London, Ontario.  The successful  candidate will work as part of a new Ministry Leadership Team along with the Priest-in-charge and the Co-ordinator of Outreach and Evangelism.  Duties will include but are not limited to pastoral visitation, hospital calls, senior’s support ministry and pastoral counselling.  Preference will be given to those ordained and in good standing in the Anglican Church but applications from qualified lay persons will also be considered.  Qualifications include CPE and completion of a recognized pastoral training program (C.A.P.E.).  Some of the ministry and communications among staff will make familiarity with email, texting and some web services an advantage.  This is a 1/3 time position with a salary range of $18,000 - $20,000 with a starting date of May 1st, 2012.  Applicants should be familiar with Safe Church and Screening in Faith programs.
