1. The bishops ask that the following words be read at Sunday services on the 14th and 21st of October:
Dear friends:
We invite you to come together for a once in a lifetime event at the John Labatt Centre in London on Sunday October 28th at 2 p.m.
That day we will celebrate the 150th birthday of our diocese with a large service. Thousands of us are already planning to be there. We will have in our midst the Anglican and Lutheran bishops of Canada and Bishop Sitembele of our Companion Diocese. We hope we will see you there at 2 p.m. October 28th. + Bruce + Bob
2. The Rev’d Canon Mario Hryniewicz has written the bishop to indicate he is retiring the end of January with his last Sunday in the parish being the end of December. Canon Mario came on the strength of Huron Diocese in 1983 and has provided faithful ministry to Christ Church, Kitchener; St. Andrew Memorial, Kitchener and his most current ministry with St. Luke and St. John’s, Brantford. He was appointed to the Cathedral Chapter of Canons in 2004. Canon Mario has served on the Postulancy Board for the Diocese along with other diocesan appointments during his years of ministry.
3. Angela Brands is appointed Deacon in Charge of Trinity, Bayfield and St. James, Middleton, effective the first of December.
4. Marita Williams is appointed non stipendiary transitional Deacon to St. John the Evangelist, Kitchener, effective the first of December.
5. Andrea Brennan, currently lay pastor of St. Peter’s, Dorchester will be named Deacon in Charge as at the 29th of November.
6. An ordination will take place on Thursday November 29 at 7 p.m., the eve of St. Andrew’s Day, in The Cathedral Church of Saint Paul, London:
Angela Brands, Andrea Brennan and Marita Williams will be ordained to the transitional diaconate.
The Rev’d Larry Edwards will be called to the priesthood and appointed rector of Parish of the Thames. He is currently Incumbent of the parish.
Clergy are welcome to vest, the colour being red. All are welcome.
7. The Rev’d David Fuller, has accepted the appointment by the bishop to be Chaplain of the Brotherhood of Anglican Churchmen for the Diocese of Huron. This appointment is in addition to his duties as rector of the Parish of Rondeau Bay and is effective immediately. Thanks are extended to Canon Robin Lyons who so ably provided this ministry these last few years.
8. There will be a celebration of new ministry for Andrea Brennan, Lay Pastor, St. Peter’s Dorchester on Sunday October 14 at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Dorchester. The celebrant will be Archdeacon Ken Anderson, with the Rev’d Sue McCullough preaching. Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being white. Hospitality will be provided after the service.
9. The Rev’d Canon Jane Humphreys will be inducted as rector of St. Mary’s Walkerville, Windsor on Sunday the 21st of October at 4:30 p.m. The Right Reverend R. Bennett presiding. The Rev’d Canon Bill Cliff preaching. Clergy are invited to vest the colour being white. Reception to follow in the parish hall.
10. Canterbury College is pleased to announce that the Rev. Gordon Maitland will be assuming the position of Director of Diaconal Studies at the College,effective November 1, 2007. This position has been previously filled by the Rev. Dr. David Wearne prior to his letter of resignation, effective October 31st

2. The Rev’d Canon Dr. Tim Connor is appointed Archdeacon of Middlesex effective the first of November, 2007. The service of collation will take place on Thursday the 6th of December, 2007 at 7 p.m. at St. George’s, London. Clergy are welcome to vest the colour being red.
3. The Rev’d Jane Fletcher is appointed the Anglican Fellowship of Prayer representative for the Diocese of Huron. She continues as rector of St. Stephen’s, Oldcastle and Church of the Redeemer, Colchester North. Thanks are extended to the Rev’d Marian Haggerty who has held this voluntary position on behalf of the diocese these past few years.
4. The Rev’d Marian Haggerty is appointed Regional Dean of Wellington effective the first of November.
5. The Rev’d Canon Sam Thomas is appointed Regional Dean of Delaware effective the first of October.

October 21st
1. The Rev’d Canon Jane Humphreys is appointed Archdeacon of Essex, effective the first of January 2008. The service of collation will take place on Monday, the 14th of January, 2008 at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Walkerville, Windsor. Clergy are welcome to vest the colour being red.
2. The Rev’d Jim Innes is appointed rector (100% time) to St. John’s, St. Thomas effective November 1st 2007. He is currently providing ministry to the parish on a part time basis.
3. The service of collation for The Rev’d Canon Dr. Tim Connor as Archdeacon of Middlesex will take place on Thursday the 6th of December, 2007 at 7 p.m. at St. George’s, London. Clergy are welcome to vest the colour being red.
